What NutriHearth does
Tell us your loved one's condition, age, weight, allergies, dislikes and texture needs — NutriHearth generates a complete 7-day menu. Every meal links to a recipe with ingredients, step-by-step cooking instructions and per-serving nutrition.
- Condition-aware plans — each of the 21+ conditions (CKD, diabetes, heart failure, dementia, dysphagia, COPD and more) follows its own dietary rules.
- Allergy & dislike aware — allergens, disliked foods and texture limits never appear in the menu.
- Built-in AI assistant — type or speak a question (voice in 5 languages); it explains why a meal fits, and adjusts the plan on request.
- Drug–food interaction alerts — when a medication is listed (statins, levodopa, blood thinners), the plan highlights foods that may interfere and reminds you to check with the prescribing doctor or pharmacist.
- Real buy links — every ingredient is matched to a product page on Amazon or Walmart, so the whole shopping list can be ordered directly.
Why "evidence-based" matters
Every plan is built on dietary patterns from peer-reviewed literature — including ADA Standards of Care, DASH for hypertension, NCEP ATP III for cholesterol, NIH calcium guidance, and the MIND diet for cognition. Each condition page summarizes what the science says and lists its sources. NutriHearth is a nutrition planning tool; it is not a substitute for medical advice — always discuss diet changes with the treating physician or a registered dietitian.
How we review the science
NutriHearth content is written by the NutriHearth Nutrition Team and reviewed against published research. Our review process is systematic:
- Full-text review, not headlines — each cited paper's full text is read and summarized into structured nutrition recommendations (what to emphasize, what to limit, target nutrients, strength of evidence) before it can be used on any page.
- Per-condition reference database — every condition page lists its own peer-reviewed sources (PubMed), and every claim on this site traces back to that list.
- Dates on content — pages and articles show their review date so you can see how current the information is.
- Safety boundaries — NutriHearth is a nutrition planning tool, not a substitute for medical advice. Drug–food interactions are flagged for you to verify with the prescribing doctor or pharmacist.
We do not hire outside writers to invent claims: content is built from the evidence we have actually reviewed. As the team grows, we will add named dietitian reviewers to every page.
Who it's for
Family caregivers — adult children, spouses and relatives who plan meals for an older loved one. NutriHearth removes the guesswork of "what do I feed them today?" with a plan they can actually follow.
